London, England: “The Imperial College London’s Global Summer School [pictured right]…. it was a really fun experience living in London and attending university” – Sophie Almekinders, Grade 10

Beirut, Lebanon: “For my tenth grade project I was interviewing a bunch of people on the street about the civil war and how it impacted them. I got to learn a lot about Lebanon’s history and culture, and I learned about the people there, and how their experiences had shaped them. “ – Alya Al-kibbi, Grade 10

Brussels, Belgium: “The King’s palace (who knew Belgium was a monarchy?!)….[Also] for anyone ever traveling to Belgium, I strongly recommend trying Belgian waffles and fries because it changed my life” – Claire Ochieng, Grade 11

Madrid, Spain: “Tour around…. [It’s more important to] experience the city itself…. you can experience the culture so much more by walking in the city and being with the citizens themselves” -Marina Schechter, Grade 11

Homer, Alaska: “I definitely recommend going camping in Alaska. Another really great thing was hiking up to see the Byron glacier up close [pictured right]. It was really amazing and I think that anyone would enjoy the tripregardless of their hiking experience.” – Alya Al-kibbi, Grade 10

Amsterdam, the Netherlands: “One thing I recommend doing is walking along the canals as well as going shopping. There are a lot of shops around Amsterdam and they each have a certain uniqueness to them. I would especially visit the vintage shops, where you can find very interesting clothes and items. Also in Amsterdam it is quite interesting to go to the Anne Frank House. The entrance queue is very long but the experience is quite touching” – Valeria Zeballos Doubinko, Grade 11
