Let’s face it. During the summer, when everybody leaves to go to amazing places around the world and you’re stuck here, D.C can get kind of boring. You have probably heard about the well-known Color Run. If you like getting colorfully dirty, this event is for you. Also known as the “Happiest 5k on the Planet”, the Color Run is a race originating from the Holi festival, where full buckets of colored powder is launched at you until the air looks like rainbow fog. A great GoPro photo op!

If you’re willing to make your way out to Delta Pennsylvania, The Lights Fest would be an amazing experience. This whole festival centered around lights where you get to release lit lanterns for more incredible photos. They have live music and activities for kids to ensure you have a magical time.
