Peter Fischer is the new Upper School Choral long-term substitute teacher.
Fischer grew up in Georgia, near Atlanta, and was in a professional boy choir in Atlanta for nine years.
“I started singing in the high chair,” he jokes.
Then, he went to a performing arts high school.
This is his first time living in the D.C. area, although he’s visited a few times before. He’s also a big foodie and is excited to try some new restaurants in the area.“I’m viewing it as an adventure right now,” he said.
Outside of singing and teaching, Fischer enjoys a variety of different activities, such as biking and disc golf.
He has some ideas for the winter concert but is also wants to get to know the students and the WIS community first.
“I’m excited to see what community means here,” he said. “I think community is what makes us human, and makes us successful, and gives us character.”
